Toad Press accepts open submissions of chapbook-length translations for the International Chapbook Series each year between October 15 and December 31.
We accept online submissions only. Upload your submission as a single document with a title page, table of contents (if applicable), and an acknowledgments page (if applicable), followed by approximately 14-26 pages of poetry or prose.
Submit to Toad Press
- Toad Press publishes 1-3 chapbooks each year.
- Chapbooks accepted for publication will appear the following Summer/Fall.
- Payment is in copies only.
- Reading fees range from $0-$14 -- please make the fee selection that's right for you! Reading fees help us to cover the costs associated with running a small press, and we appreciate support from those able to contribute. Submitters who select the $12 or $14 "submit + choose a book" will receive one of our available backlist titles in the mail.
- Simultaneous submissions are encouraged, but please do us the courtesy of withdrawing your manuscript immediately if it is accepted elsewhere.
